I had all intentions of doing a “week post transfer” blog yesterday. Wanted to give you all an up to date post on what the past week has been like. However, my bed and a gallon of water were all I could bear to look at the entire day. Since the transfer, Wednesday, July 18, I have been feeling an array of symptoms. Which could be a good sign, or could be the devil medicine showing its face. Since the day D was put in I have been cramping. Little cramps along the top of where my panty line is. Thursday I woke up with agonizing heartburn and nausea that lasted pretty much my entire day. The cramps and nausea continued every day and yesterday they invited their friend migraine to joint the party. I have pretty much been useless around the house (totally not complaining about my relationship with Netflix this past week). We took advantage of the weekend and explored a bit of ENC. We went to the aquarium and Fort Macon spent the day on our feet keeping my blood flowing. We even found, and this is for all my Florida friends, A PUBLIX! We were like two kids in a candy shop, getting our pub subs and dirty chips, oh how we have missed that.
My intramuscular injections are getting more and more unbearable to handle. Nick officially hates giving them to me because I beat cry the entire time. I have mastered giving them to myself and surprisingly have only had one bruise from it all. Vaginal inserts are looking more and more attractive.
I could be wrong but I do not believe we have told you guys when our blood test is. We want to keep that part to ourselves. I will tell you all, it is very close so keep an eye out for news.
I stumbled across this very cool timeline that explains every day what D is doing before implantation. I thought it would help some people understand.
That is really all I have for you guys. I wish this was a more exciting post but I have been laid up in bed, letting my house slowly crumble. Hopefully, we have some life-changing news to share soon. Keep praying Team D!
xoxo, ALD
